I have been working at Vermilion Elementary School for fifteen years. I currently work three days a week as the School Health Facilitator, Roots of Empathy instructor, and also support in classrooms as needed. On my days off I mentor newly trained Roots of Empathy instructors throughout the province as well as work on our family farm that my husband Tyler and I manage.
I have two grown children. My daughter is twenty and in her third year of university in Saskatoon where she is pursuing a degree in Agricultural Business with a minor in Soil Sciences. My son is twenty three. He has a degree in Agronomy with a minor in crop production and has returned home to help manage our farm. He met a lovely lady at university and will be getting married in June, 2020.
I feel very fortunate that I have been able to work at Vermilion Elementary for fifteen years. Every day that I get to come to work is a new adventure. I love getting to know all the students and watching them learn and grow.
