Deirdre Myshaniuk
Teacher 6B
Hi! I’m Mrs. Myshaniuk.
Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I am thrilled to be working with you and your child this year. It is going to be a year filled with fun, learning and
I am married to my wonderful husband, Jamie. We have three kids, Dymitri, Lukas and Larysa. They take up most of my free time with hockey and dance. But some of my hobbies include DIY, wood craft projects, landscaping and reading.
I have lived on farms in Derwent (with my parents and two younger sisters) and Myrnam (on my husband’s family farm) for most of my life. I graduated from Myrnam High School and then achieved my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from The Kings University in Edmonton.
I have been teaching at Vermilion Elementary School since 2008. Before that, I taught Grades 4-6 at Kehewin Community Education Center for five years. I love teaching sixth graders! It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students. I attempt to teach with a passion for my subjects so that my students develop a desire to become life-long learners.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. It is so important to keep communication open between us and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need. I look forward to a great year together.
