Throughout my life I have always enjoyed playing and working with children. Over the years I have babysat, coached and taught children of all ages. I love seeing their joy and smiling faces when they have accomplished or discovered something new.
I have worked as an Educational Assistant for over 20years at the Vermilion Elementary School and have worked in grades K to 6. Each and every day it is amazing to see how the children flourish and grow in their education. I Feel privileged to work with the VES staff to create a safe and welcoming environment for children to learn.
I grew up on Pender Island British Columbia with 5 sisters and one brother. When we were in high school we had to take a water taxi to school. I have been married for over 35 years to my husband Duncan and we have lived 30 plus of those years in Vermilion. We have three children and four grandchildren. In my spare time I like to ski, hike, bike, kayak, garden and knit, but most of all I enjoy spending time with my family.
One of my greatest joys in life is spending time with my grandchildren. We love to go bike riding in the Vermilion Provincial Park and around town. Also we enjoy visiting the many playgrounds in Vermilon whether it be in the winter or summer.
