Adrienne Joa
Vice Principal
After more than 30 years, I am still as passionate about teaching today as I was the first day I started. My job is so much more than just teaching the curriculum. It is also my job to help students find things they are excited about, set goals, try new things, be persistent when they don’t accomplish their goals right away, and to celebrate successes. I can’t wait to see where our adventure takes us each year! My wish for my students is that they will reach for the stars and leave feeling like “I got this!!”.
I am proud to be part of VES. We have so many opportunities for the kids, and we have a strong family atmosphere that is fostered through school and community activities. My wish for my students is to feel a part of VES and feel the confidence to grow and learn.
Vermilion is an amazing community to be a part of. We celebrate our history as shown in the “Historical Walk Around Vermilion”, the restorations in the store fronts, the photos from the past the Town shares, and the Vermilion Heritage Museum. We have many new businesses, wellness activities, activities to connect with others, clubs and sports teams. If you think there is nothing to do in our small town, you just aren’t looking! My wish for my students is to connect with others and find healthy fun things to do in Vermilion. #Being the best we can be.
